Covid 19 Policy for F.H. Steinbart Company as of 1-12-21

COVID-19 INFORMATION

January 13 2021 update

We’re now two months into having closed the shop to in-store shopping, and we are feeling it. We know you are too, and we’d really like for this to change. Hopefully the distribution of multiple Covid-19 vaccines is the proverbial light at the end of the tunnel.

Unfortunately, we aren’t out of the tunnel yet. We continue to prioritize the safety and health of our staff, customers, and overall community and so we will remain closed to in-store shopping at this time. However, we are updating our pick-up procedures to maximize efficiency in getting orders into people’s hands. We’re hoping this will help make everything smoother and, frankly, a bit warmer and drier.

How it works

When you get the email confirming your order has been completed, come to the shop. The pick-up point has moved inside the front door. There are two “stations” inside, six feet apart, so we can help two customers with orders at once. Once you have your order in hand, we will send you out the side door (the “draft” door), so foot traffic stays all one way. There’s signage indicating where to stand, and black and yellow markings on the floor as well.

This is not for browsing or shopping, much as we all would like that. Just as we said two months ago, “We know we must exercise caution during a global pandemic, having survived one already.” This caution has helped us avoid having a single covid-19 case thus far, and we are so grateful. The goal is to maintain the streak.

We still miss everyone’s faces, but we will keep heading toward the end of the tunnel. Thank you all for your business and understanding in all of this.
