Carbon Block Water Filter Cartidge 10 in.

Description

Remove chlorine and organic flavor with this 10″ carbon block filter. Also filters out sediment to 10 micron. We open the housing after use and store filter dry to eliminate algae from growing inside the housing. Designed to work with our filter housing or any other standard, 10″ housing. Good for 8,000 gallons.

After talking to different manufacturers it is our understanding that chloramines can be removed by carbon filtration if the water has a long contact time with the carbon. It is recommended to use at a fill rate of less than 1 gallon per minute in order to remove chloramines.

NOTE: This product should not be used in hot water applications. Cold water only!
