Firkin cask kegs have a long history in traditional brewing. Dating back to the Iron Age, firkins were originally made from wood and iron hoops. Today’s cask kegs have received a stainless steel upgrade, allowing for durability and reusability.

Firkins are brewers’ and business owners’ best friends for producing cask beer, which allows unpasteurized beer to undergo natural fermentation. Due to their small volume of 9 imperial gallons, Firkin kegs make them an optimal vessel for limited or experimental batches, Oktoberfest events, or one-off tappings.
