Kilkee Cream Porter is made by Oregon Brew Crew member and longtime Steinbart customer Brian Haslip at his Man About A Dog nanobrewery. This beer was inspired by Portland Brewing’s Black Watch Cream Porter. Rather than use lactose, Brian added flaked oats and wheat to provide the creaminess. This robust cream porter is named after Kilkee, a black Labrador retriever who was Brian’s first brewing partner, and who hung out with him on all his brew days. A malt forward beer with chocolate and coffee notes, Kilkee Cream Porter was served at the FH Steinbart 100^th Anniversary Festival earlier this year.
