Designed to work with 2″ Tri Clamps accessories. Silicone has a much wider acceptable temperature range (-55°F to 446°F) than other materials such as EPDM. This Higher acceptable temperature rating make silicone gaskets ideal for hot side applications in the brewing process. They are less resistant to acid and caustic chemicals and tend to show signs of wearing before EPDM.
