Employees Joseph DeBenedetti and Angelo Curtello enter into a partnership and purchase the business from Frank Steinbart.

After the death of his partner Joseph DeBenedetti purchases Steinbart Co. outright from partner’s widow.
1959
Steinbart Company moves to 526 SE Grand Ave.
1969
Fred Eckardt’s Treatise on Lager Beers is released in Portland.
1978
President Carter signs bill HR1337 exempting homebrew from taxation effectively legalizing homebrewing at the federal level.
1980
Steinbart Company moves to SE 6th and Salmon.
1984
Bridgeport Brewing, Widmer Brewing, Full Sail Brewing and Portland Brewing are incorporated in Portland, Oregon.
1985
The brewpub movement is born. The Oregon State Legislature grants legalization to breweries the ability to sell the beer it makes over the bar.
1991
Steinbart Company moves to the current location at SE 12th & Pine.
1995
Steinbart Company’s Draft division installs the draft beer system at the new Rose Garden Arena.
2002
FH Steinbart Company’s Draft division installs more than 390 feet of draft beer trunk line (nearly 2 miles of individual beer line) in newly renovated Autzen Stadium at the University of Oregon.
2010
Steinbart Company’s endeavor to stay current with the ever-evolving beverage market leads to an opportunity to carry kombucha kits featuring ingredients from Portland’s Lion Heart Kombucha.
